I had never been to a bed and breakfast before, so I was rather curious to see what this would be like.

We stayed at La Chance Cottage located right on Main Street, just East of the insanity that was downtown but still an easy 5 minute walk from the hustle and bustle. Very cute, very quaint. If I were to go back, I wouldn't hesitate to try booking myself there again.

When you walk in the front door, you are standing in what is essentially an empty lobby. There is a door to your immediate left where the continental breakfast is served (only if the continent they are thinking of happens to be Antarctica) and another door just beyond that were you check in and get your keys.

As you head up the cute stairs...

...you completely miss the view you get when you come down said cute stairs.

Our room was on the 3rd of the 4 floors. Small yet quaint, we were very pleased.

While each floor only had 2 bathrooms (each with their own highly confusing shower) the fact that each room had a sink (at least ours did) made life very easy. In the closet, they also left a large box fan which we quickly put into the window when we got there. Really, it wasn't all that hot there, we were fortunate that the temperature never really got above 75 on the island, but there was a certain degree of humidity from recent rain. All in all, nothing to complain about, it was nice in that overcast sort of way. While my shutterbug girlfriend was out in the hallway taking pictures of the place, I positioned myself accordingly...

"I knew you were going to do that."
